Chrysopogon zizanioides from India often reads darker and smokier than a Haitian lot. That is origin, not a defect. Khusimol is a handle on the vetiver line, not a grade badge. Age in the drum changes the blotter; a three-year typical is not this year’s still.
Substitution — another origin, gurjun, a woody extender — is a receiving problem. Origin-graded vetiver, when someone wants a terroir brief rather than a volume drum, lives on sourced-to-brief. It is not a better typical of this SKU.
